  • Why do Xangans fight?

Hello, I'm Midori. I'm a minor. I noticed lately that there's been a lot of hate and sex blogs on Xanga front page.

I don't understand why Xanga Team allowed people to use obscene photo for their profile,

or write racist blogs to attack people of other race, nationalities and beliefs.

Tell me, my fellow Xangans : why do Xangans fight?

Why can't they get along and write blogs that don't aggravate or hurt others?

  • Oh Mummy!

What's your favorite memory of spending time with your mom - what did you do, where did you go?

Every single time I see her, hear her, feel her and smell her -- every time when I'm around her!

I love you, Mummy! Happy Mother's Day!

  • Angry Girl : Part 2

Thank you so much for your feedback on my previous entry! I decided to tell our principal Mrs Hamaguchi about the lost of my Angry Bird sketch book. I also found out that several student also suffered the loss of personal things while in school. We are all lucky that we only lost sketch books and stationary and not expensive things like an iPod or a cellphone. After a discussion, my best friends and I decided to make a small campaign to prevent theft in our school. Mrs Hamaguchi is very happy with the idea and encourage us to make drawings and have a poster competition to create an awareness that stealing is bad and punishable.

  • That physical ed teacher

We have this physical ed teacher who is anything but fit. She's overweight, chew gums while teaching, snacks while keeping an eye on us during our track practice and yells at us when when we chat during practice. She once punished Priscilla for failing to do a one and half twist somersault by asking her to do the same thing 10 times in a row. She's crazy!

  • Mistakes

I think sometimes when people say they're proud of the mistakes they've made because it's made them who they are today, it's really just a way of licking wounds or consoling themselves. I've done things I wish I'd have never done, things I would take back if I could, that's the truth.

  • Sniff sniff

I have a nasty habit of smelling flowers (even fake ones)... it's almost a reflex to me. I'd pick up a flower, twirl it around in my hands, and to the nostrils it goes.

    Bad, I know.

  • Angry Birds In Space

Bought Angry Birds In Space for my laptop.

    The verdict:

10 times harder than regular Angry Birds.

    The new birds are awesome.

I love being able to use gravity to your advantage.

Some of the levels turn me into Angry Girl.

  • Style of writing or simply awkward?

I can't tell if my writing is just downright awkward or if it's simply how I choose to express things. I hope it is the latter, but I always have my doubts when it comes to English. I have my own way of thinking that isn't entirely based on English ways of thinking, so it wouldn't be all that surprising if my English usage was a little weird now and then.

But when it's awkward, do I notice it, or do I ignore that weird feeling under the assumption that English is supposed to be awkward?

  • Spring is here

I'm happy that trees and flowers are blossoming. I can't wait to walk under the sakura trees and enjoy the shower of the blossoms. One of my happiest memories is my family having a nice picnic under the fragrant sakura trees. It's always a magical experience.

Sofu (grandpa) cut his hand while cutting wood for a new park bench in his Japanese garden. He's a trooper, he deals with the pain well. The cut doesn't require stitches.

He said: Japanese get cut everytime. Still they carry their swords with pride.

I love him. He always have some interesting quotes to live by, and make more of his own.

  • Reigning 'world's ugliest dog' dies in California

Rest in peace, Yoda. May the Force be with you.

    Source

HANFORD, Calif. -- When a beloved pet dies, good manners usually dictate saying something nice about the departed companion.

And for Yoda, it was a compliment to say she sure was ugly.

Yoda won the 2011 World's Ugliest Dog contest at the Sonoma Marin Fair for her short tufts of hair, protruding tongue, and long, seemingly hairless legs.

The Chinese crested and Chihuahua mix died in her sleep Saturday. She was 15.
The 1.8-pound pooch had lived a rough life before Terry Schumacher found her abandoned behind an apartment building and mistook her for a rat.

The dog went on to bag $1,000 and a trophy 15 times her size when she won the contest held in Petaluma, Calif., last June. Yoda and Schumacher became famous, appearing on national television.

Contest producer Vicki DeArmon said Yoda will keep the title until a new ugliest dog is crowned in June.

Schumacher, of Hanford, Calif., told the Hanford Sentinel that she will miss "her funny little ways."

But Schumacher said she was "comforted knowing she will be joining my Mom and Dad, who loved her so much. Her memories will live on forever."

  • Mummy is hurt

Mummy slipped on a wet patch in the bathroom earlier in the day. Her ankle is slightly swollen and she bandaged it up well. I think the swell has gone down, but now she is soaking her feet in this nice smelling soapy solution. I helped her to walk and fetch things for her. I mopped dry the bathroom floor. I don't want to fall myself.

Daddy was worried since he insisted that she should go see a doctor but she insisted that she is fine. Sigh....

I was planning to write a better blog, but Xanga was down and I'm not interested in blogging when things are still faulty around here.

  • Beads

Teeny, tiny, itty-bitty glass beads. Yuppers. I am currently seperating a huge glass vial into different colours. They are forest green, blue and the rest [lighter greens and yellows] in order to make some specifically coloured necklaces. This is tedious work but I cannot stop now that I have started.
